**Cap Hill Crypto**

Inspired by crypto’s potential to empower individuals and expand economic freedom, George Leonardo founded Cap Hill Crypto in March 2022 with the launch of the Cap Hill Crypto newsletter and legislative tracker. Cap Hill Crypto content aimed to empower readers with a nonpartisan, hype-free, and nuanced understanding of the latest crypto policy developments in Washington, D.C. The last newsletter edition went out in August 2025.
During its run, the Cap Hill Crypto newsletter was read weekly by policy aides, counsels, and press staffers in key Congressional committees and personal offices on Capitol Hill, as well as policy professionals and builders across leading industry firms and crypto advocacy groups.
George is now Policy Counsel at the Crypto Council for Innovation, a global industry alliance focused on advancing thoughtful, forward-looking crypto policies. Prior to building Cap Hill Crypto, George worked as a legislative aide for Senator John Cornyn on Capitol Hill and as a bankruptcy litigation associate at Milbank LLP.
